I was facing with a decision with my career, should I try to salvage my career or try something new. I choose to try something new. I decided the Internet was for me. I would become an Internet Marketer and replace my income no problem. The trouble is it didn’t exactly work out that way. Here are some examples of how I tried to making money online. The PLR Trap!

The Internet is so full of information and most of it is junk. For example a lot of would-be marketers fall into the PLR trap. It all starts with researching different ways to make money online. Sooner or later we all come across PLR products, or correctly referred to as Private Label Rights.

If you’re not familiar PLR, here is quick explanation. Thousand of marketers produce these products hoping to score big. But, for what ever reason many of these information products never live up to their expected sales. It can be do to poor marketing or just a poor product. So for pennies on the dollar and some times even free, these products are dump on hundreds of PLR sites and sold on membership sites.

So I joined one of these membership sites and paid only $197 for lifetime membership. What a deal. I get access to all these products and I never have to pay again for the rest of my life. So to make my product unique I rewrote an ebook on how to create an ebook. I hired an artist to redo all the graphics for $147. I then hired a writer for $300 to rewrite the ebook. I charged the name and presto I had a brand new product on how to create an ebook.

Now all I had to do was market my brand new product. So I joined Google Adwords created an ad a started selling my ebook. Any day the money was going to roll in. The trouble was it didn’t happen! I couldn’t sell my ebook and I didn’t know why.

Going Broke Even Faster!

After weeks and hundreds of dollars later I finally pull my ad and started examining what I had done wrong. I came across Jimmy D. Brown and discovered, “The money is in the list!” Don’t try to sell your ebook, give it away for free and build your list. Now I was buying Pay Per Click Advertising from Google to give away my ebook for free. Great that means I can go broke even faster.

I could write a book about all the widgets I tried but failed to sell my stuff. It simply doesn’t work, I tried it and I’m telling you to save your money. Ask yourself this question. Why do 3% of the online marketers make more money than the other 97% combined?

Every Internet Marketer Needs A Village!

It’s simple, they all lack the kind of community I about t introduce you too. After what seemed to be endless searching to how to make money online I finally came across Alex Jeffreys and Alex’s community of successful marketers. This is a force to be reckon with and I what to share it with you. You may be asking yourself. Why would I share this valuable information with you?

That’s a fair question. Alex Jeffreys developed a community based on a simple idea. If I do something that makes you successful how likely would it be that you would continue working with me. That’s turn it around, If what I recommend to you doesn’t work would you keep listening to my suggestions? No, of course you wouldn’t.

What is needed to be successful in this business is so simple yet so logical you may ask yourself why I didn’t think of it. We all need a community that is interested in supporting each other and a mentor to show you the way.
